We all need a space that is unapologetically our own, a space to feel heard, seen, and understood. We need a space to heal. I am eager to build that space with you in our work together.
I approach my practice believing that we need more than talk therapy alone to unlock our wellness and healing. We need to tune into our body!
I believe that everyone has the tools for their own healing; my role is to help you reconnect with those resources you inherently have.
Somatic Therapy

Throughout our life, our body learns how to survive: fight, flight, freeze. Sometimes, a survival strategy that kept us safe in one circumstance serves us less later on. We may begin to notice that we can’t stop feeling the urgency to fight, our tendency toward flight becomes patterns of avoidance, or we seem to be stuck all the time. Somatic therapy emphasizes the wisdom that we can learn from our body so that we can build the safety, healthy relationships, and the abundant life we desire.
In our work, I will also draw from other modalities including polyvagal theory, parts work, and psychodynamic psychology

I work with all adult and late-teen populations, specializing in working with adult men and LGBTQ+ folks.
I have extensive experience working with clients who experienced physical and sexual trauma, as well as clients who have perpetuated violence, themselves.
I also specialize in working with folks who are experiencing anxiety or depression.

I am exclusively practicing via telehealth (online/virtual) at this time. I am licensed to work with clients who reside in Illinois, Michigan, Utah, and Washington state.

Call In Your People is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, accepting PPO and Blue Choice insurance plans.
Please be sure to call your insurance company directly to confirm your benefits for outpatient therapy before beginning therapy with us. If you have any other type of insurance, Call In Your People would be considered an out-of-network provider with your plan.
The out-of-pocket rate for individual sessions are $165/session.
I allocate a limited number of sliding scale slots for folks who benefit from it. I believe that therapy is an immensely worthwhile investment! I also know that many of us do not have access to the financial resources to easily make that investment in our wellness. You are worth the investment and I am happy to explore how to make it feel more doable for you.

I am a gentle and direct therapist: I continuously invest in our therapeutic relationship so that we can successfully accomplish challenging work together. I approach all of my work from a place of non-judgement and unconditional care for my clients. That means: I haven’t even met you, but I already care deeply for you.
I am a collaborative therapist: we are partners in your healing work. I believe you are the expert in your lived experiences, and simultaneously, none of us can see our own cheek. I am a guide to help you learn more.
I wasn’t always a therapist: my background is in community organizing and group work. I have always been hyper-relational in my social change practice, which is what led me to also work with individuals.
I am intentionally light on self-disclosure so that you can have whatever perception of me you need in our work. However, you may like to know: throughout my life, I have lived in metro-Detroit, Seattle, and Chicago. I have a giant dog, who I love beyond measure. I have grown to love coffee, collect cookbooks, and am fascinated by space despite not knowing much of anything about physics.
